Using Illuminate to Identify Students for Support During the Transition from Middle to High School

During the spring of the 2013-14 school year 560 eighth grade students were scored on a rubric addressing academic, social, and behavioral criteria by middle school staff. Students were screened for high scores (equating to high concern) on specific criteria, total scores, and their Academic Support Index. Eighty students were identified for monitoring and intervention. This presentation will demonstrate how to score the transition rubric, use advanced filters to identify students for support, and build reports to monitor on-going student progress.
