Item Revisions

This lesson will guide you through the process of revising an item within the Illuminate Item Bank.

Access Revisions by Item

Once in the Item Bank (Assessments > Visit Itembank):

1. Click on the Items tab.

2. Select the ID number of the item you wish to edit.

This will automatically take you to the Preview tab. From here you can:

1. Click on the Question tab to go directly to edit the question.

OR

2. Click on Revisions to see any already made (and edit those current revisions by clicking on the revision number or Create Revision).

Once on the Questions page:

3. Make your edits to the question, answers or rubric.

4. Click Save and you should get a green successfully saved message at the top of the screen.

5. Click on Publish to publish changes. Select the check boxes to the right of your current assessment titles to push your new changes to your existing assessments.

Once in the Item Bank (Assessments > Visit Item Bank):

1. Click on the Assessments tab.

2. Press the title of an assessment.

3. Click on the Review tab.

4. Scroll to the item and press Click to Show Rationale & Item Info.

5. Then click View.

6. Select the Revisions tab.

7. Click Create Revision.

8. Make your edits and click Save.

9. Click on Publish to publish changes. Select the check boxes to the right of your current assessment titles to push your new changes to your existing assessments.

You can always visit the Revisions page to keep track of how many revisions have been made, when each was created and when each was updated.
