Where to start

1. Click on the Grades tab.

2. Under Report Cards, select Entry.

3. You will need to use the filters to select the students you would like to enter report card data for. Click Filter by date and select As of Today or the current academic year. Then click Filter by rostering and select your Site, Teacher name, Course and Section from the dropdown menus. If you are a teacher, you will only have to select course/section.

You can also select to enter report card data for students within a student group by selecting this group from the visibility dropdown.

4. Click Find Students.

5. Once you've clicked Find Students, you will be asked to Select Report Card. Use the dropdown menus to select the Grading Period and Report Card, and click Load.

1. To enter grades by student, go to the Entry by Student Column and select the student you would like to enter data for.

2. To enter grades by field, go under the Entry by Field column and select the field you would like to enter for.

3. If you want to enter grade data by field group, go to the Entry by Field column and select the field group you would like to enter for. In the image above, Training: Attendance and Comments is one field group you could select to enter grades by.

NOTE: After making your selection to enter by student, field, or field group, remember that you will be able to switch seamlessly between different students, fields or field groups using the dropdown feature available in each entry screen.

Important note about report card locking:  When a user enters Elementary Grades for a student, to avoid overrites an automatic lock out from the report card is in effect for 15 minutes. If the report card is still being working on this longer than 15 minutes, the “Lock” will continue as needed. This lock starts from the moment a user begins working on a report card.  

  1. If multiple teachers need to work on a report card and teacher #1 goes in to edit by field group, all students in that roster will be locked. Teacher #2 can not edit any students in that roster until the unlock “15 minutes” has occurred. \L
  2. If teacher #1 is editing student A, teacher #2 can edit any other student in the “Edit by Student” mode. They can not edit by field group as one of the student is locked by teacher #1.

When entering data using the Entry by Student option:

1. Use the drop down menus to enter data for all of the field groups. You can also use the 'Jump to' links to move your screen to certain field groups quickly.

2. Make sure to click SAVE before navigating away from the student you just entered data for. Publish is only to be used when you are ENTIRELY finished inputting grades.

NOTE: Publishing report cards does not affect the printing of the report card.  It is optional unless your district asked you to publish to update the admin report.

3. To navigate to another student, simply use the drop down menu at the top of your page and select the next student you would like to enter data for from the list.

4. Click Load Student.

This entry option will generate a list of your students and allow you to enter grades for one field at a time.

1. Use the drop down menus to enter all data for the field group for each student.

2. Make sure to click SAVE before navigating away from the student you just entered data for.

3. Print a Report Card for a single student by clicking on the Print Icon.

4. Use the Card Icon next to the print icon to see a single student's score breakdown.

5. Publish- Publish is only to be used when you are ENTIRELY finished inputting grades. It will not be clickable until changes are saved.

6. To navigate to another field, simply use the drop down menu at the top of your page and select the next field you would like to enter data for from the list.

7. Click Load Field.

This entry option will generate a list of your students and allow you to enter grades for an entire field group at a time.

1. Use the drop down menus to enter all data for the field group for each student.

2. Make sure to click SAVE before navigating away from the student you just entered data for.

3. Print a Report Card for a single student by clicking on the Print Icon.

4. Publish- Publish is only to be used when you are ENTIRELY finished inputting grades.

5.To navigate to another field, simply use the drop down menu at the top of your page and select the next field you would like to enter data for from the list.
